KNOWLEDGEABLE, RELAXED GUIDE
KNOWLEDGEABLE, RELAXED GUIDE nbsusie FROM Édimbourg, Royaume-Uni
William, a larger than life, very gentle giant, really knows his stuff which he imparts in a relaxed Tahitian style. We “did” the island on our morning trip, just the two of us in an AC car. There are not a great many places to visit but William took us to them all, leaving us to wander through the beautiful Trou du Souffleur which are well signposted & plants all have descriptive plaques so solitude is lovely. Would highly recommend William & only give him 4* as his timings for collection are not always good but hey, this is Tahiti!

It was the best private tour on the island. William’s son and Patrick were wonderful to my 84 year old mother.

Last minute our flights changed and we had to spend a full day in Papeete before heading to Bora Bora. I checked online for things to do and a Tahiti Island circle tour sounded perfect. After trying to quickly find a tour, William was the most responsive and accommodated us perfectly. He came to our hotel early and after picking up others, we had a most informative fun tour with the talented William singing to us, especially Elvis songs. I could even see the resemblance 😉 Definitely recommend Adventure Eagle Tours in Tahiti, a beautiful Island with people who don’t know the word stress

William was very pleasant and informative company as he showed us the points of interest around the Island of Tahiti. We didn’t feel rushed at any time and, as we had booked a personal tour, we were able to stop wherever and whenever we wished, without inconveniencing other tourists.

NICE HALF DAY TOUR OF THE ISLAND Bill G FROM Redlands, California, United States

We got a half day trip around the island with just the two of us in William’s van for only $100.00. Went to many interesting sites and were told a great deal about Tahiti. He knows a lot about the island and the people. We never felt rushed. Sure enjoyed this tour.

WILLIAM IN THE MAN

Arranged for William to take 5 of us–and our luggage–on a half day Circle Island Tour of Tahiti. Not only did he pick us up at the ferry terminal and drop us off at the Intercontinental, but he called to make our dinner reservations in Papeete, picked us up again a few hours later to take us there and then at the end of our meal took two of us to the airport and our other three back to the hotel–all at the original agreed upon price for just the tour alone! William has all the information you might ever need about the island and its people, and loves to talk about it and answer questions as he’s driving you around. Highest recommendation!

The best thing we did on the island of Tahiti was to book a private tour with William Leeteg. It was a drive completely around the island (about 73 miles) while William chattered away providing local insight and humor. He picked the three of us up in a small economy car for the ride. It cost $250 in cash. He speaks very good English, having working in Los Angeles as a musician. He encourages you to talk and ask questions. He does not hold back on his opinions about anything, which is very authentic and fun.

GRAND CIRCLE ISLAND TOUR
GRAND CIRCLE ISLAND TOUR liverbird35 FROM Palm Desert, Californie

We were lucky to find William at the pier when we arrived on the Star Princess in April and enjoyed a four hour tour of the island with William and his son. Only four of us in his van so made stops quick and easy. William knows how to avoid times when the tour buses are different locations so we missed the crowds at most stops. Had toured the island before with another driver but had not seen any of the spots we visited this time. William’s commentary was very informative and we had a great tour.

When the Ocean Princess docked in Papeete (Jan. 18) we needed something to do for the day. Sure, the market was good and the pearls were nice but we wanted to see the lengendary island. The Tourist information center offered a reasonably priced Grand Circle Island Tour (4 hrs,) with Papeete native, William Leeteg, (eagletourguide @gmail.com), as he describes himself, “a friendly english speaking tour guide,” who dispenses advice with a no-nonsense approach to life. In our 72 mile drive, 3 couples, got to see Gaughin’s Museum, (lots of stray dogs and cats), the Blow Hole, (complete with surfers,) a hike to spetacular mountain falls and the caves. Our A/C van was comfortable. William was a delight. Be sure to book him!

THOROUGHLY INTERESTING ISLAND TOUR

Island living is a totally unique way of life that William Leetag will share with you on his Adventure Eagle Tours. We arranged via his website, tahiti-adventure-eagle-tour.com, for him to meet us at our cruise ship on the one day that we would be in Tahiti. He asks for payment in US dollars (cash). Our first stop was at a gas station to fill the tank. Later in the day we stopped at another gas station to put air in the tires. This is island living! William was very knowledgeable and entertaining throughout the entire circle of the island tour which lasted nearly four hours. In addition to his vast knowledge of the islands, he shared many stories about his father, Edgar Leetag, the American Gauguin. If you want the local view of Tahiti, you’ll want to take this tour with a “certified local character” (the kind of tour guide we always look for). There is no hiking or swimming with this tour but you will see five of the most interesting points on the island with lots of information between stops.

We rang wanting to join one of his general tours, but he was not going out on a general tour until tomorrow, which we could not do, so he used his taxi and gave us our own personal tour. With constant commentary and a great attitude. Went to a nice garden, grotto, Venus Point and generally around the island.

TAHITI IN A DAY-GREAT TRIP, GREAT GUIDE LewG412 FROM Beckley, Virginie-Occidentale
At the conclusion of a recent Oceania cruise, my wife and I booked William Leeteg’s circle tour of Tahiti. It was most enjoyable and a day well spent. We were picked up at our hotel on time. The van was air conditioned, comfortable and clean. There were six passengers plus William and his son “Johnny-B-Good”. Both William and Johnny were congenial and attentive to our needs. On the evening before the tour, my wife had turned her ankle so she needed a bit of extra time and assistance in entering and exiting the van. Johnny was especially considerate and helpful to her. The tour was comprehensive – we went around the entire island. We made several stops – botanical garden, fern grotto, waterfall, blow hole, Venus Point. William’s commentary and insight (he is a Tahitian citizen) plus his American English fluency made for an easy-going and informative tour. The trip encompassed four hours. The only attraction we would have liked to see which we did not was the Gaugin Museum which was closed for repairs. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The cost was reasonable and everything went according to schedule. We would heartily recommend William Leeteg and his Adventure Eagle Tour of Tahiti.
